College Search 101 – What every parent needs to know about the college search process the first time around.
This class is designed for parents who are new to the college search process. We will address parent specific objectives that are inherently different from the schools’ focus on educating the students on the colleges.
The reason it is a process rather then a decision is that choosing the college to attend is based on a number of important supporting, potentially emotionally charged preliminary decisions. Having a clear understanding of exactly what will be the best fit for your student and how to make long-term decisions with an adolescent together will be the main focus of this class. Topics will include decision making together, campus visits and open houses, applications and interviewing, and general financial aid.
